Tom Pyle, Chief of the Office of Rigid Pavement Materials and Structural Concrete at Caltrans, is the Leader of the AB32 Cement Sub Group. The Cement Sub Group is responsible for making recommendations to the California Air Resources Board of ways to reduce CO2 reductions in California.

Mr. Pyle, a registered Civil Engineer, oversees Caltrans’ specifications, testing and research for cement and concrete. He also participates on numerous research committees for the National Academy of Science as well as research arms for the Federal Highway Administration. For the last 25 years Mr. Pyle has worked in both private industry and government agencies as an engineer involved in the design, construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects.
