Linda McKinley is the Manager, Sustainable Development for Lehigh NW Cement Limited. She is a senior marketing professional with experience developing & implementing communication and marketing initiatives that lead change. Over the past four years she has been focused on Lehigh’s sustainability approach within North America. She sits on several national sustainability committees for the cement industry (PCA, CAC), and within Lehigh.

Linda’s dedicated role in sustainability allows her to have widespread exposure to all aspects of the green building movement in North America, and work with many areas of the industry in cement and concrete promotion.

Sustainability has brought many issues to the forefront – some that threaten our industry and others that provide opportunity. Hear how Lehigh is responding to sustainability and why concrete is the sustainable medium of tomorrow’s environment.

Linda will be speaking on Sustainable Development.

Mark A. Bury is a Product Manager and a member of the Sustainability Leadership Team with BASF. He has a degree in Applied Science from Cuyahoga Community College, and a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace College.

Mark is a Fellow of ACI and a member of several ACI and ASTM Committees in C09 on Concrete and Aggregates. Mark has published numerous papers on concrete and admixture technology and performed a unique concrete experiment in outer space aboard the space shuttle Endeavour.

Mark will be speaking on Pervious Concrete and Sustainable Admixture Systems.

Christina Palpal-latoc is a Business Development Manager for T.B. Penick & Sons, Inc. where she is responsible for streamlining the building and certification process for projects undergoing the LEED rating system, as well as providing clients with information on the company ’s environmentally conscious product lines such as porous concrete, Lithocrete ®, terrazzo, polished concrete, and grasscrete.

T.B. Penick is actively involved in green construction. Two of Penick ’s design-build structures were the first civic structures in San Diego County to receive LEED certification – George L. Stevens Senior Center in Encanto was awarded Gold LEED certification, and Northwestern Area Police Station in Carmel Valley obtained Silver LEED certification.
